BrightBridge Credit Union Connects with Community Through Shred Day Events

Lawrence, Mass. – Oct. 16, 2026 – BrightBridge Credit Union (BrightBridge) recently hosted four free Shred Day events across its branch network, helping community members safely dispose of sensitive documents while connecting with team members. The events were held at the credit union's branches in Hanover, Lawrence, Waltham and Springfield as part of BrightBridge's commitment to providing convenient access to community-focused services.

Shred Days have become a popular annual tradition for BrightBridge members, as they offer an opportunity to securely destroy personal documents containing sensitive information and reduce the risk of identity theft and fraud. BrightBridge team member volunteers assisted participants with unloading boxes and bags of documents, distributed complimentary BrightBridge giveaways, and encouraged guests to enter the credit union's Patriots ticket giveaway.

"One of my favorite parts of Shred Day is seeing how much our members appreciate these events," said Hanover Assistant Branch Manager Carrie Lincoln. "People stop by to shred their old paperwork, but they often stay to chat with our team and learn more about what's happening in the community. It's so rewarding to be able to provide a useful service while building relationships and making connections."

BrightBridge connected with hundreds of members and community members during each Shred Day event. The credit union plans to continue offering community-focused events that bring people together, provide practical resources, and strengthen relationships throughout the regions it serves.
