BrightBridge Credit Union (BrightBridge) is pleased to announce that Laurie LaChapelle has joined the organization as Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer. LaChapelle has more than 20 years of financial services experience, including extensive leadership within the credit union industry and a deep commitment to the cooperative mission of supporting members and communities.
LaChapelle began her career in auditing, spending eight years auditing credit unions and developing a strong understanding of financial operations and industry best practices. She most recently spent 14 years at Digital Federal Credit Union (DCU) where she advanced through several senior leadership positions including Vice President of Finance, Senior Vice President of Finance and ultimately Chief Financial Officer. Her work helped drive financial strategy and sustainable growth for the organization.
LaChapelle is a licensed Certified Public Accountant in Massachusetts and holds a Bachelor of Science degree with dual concentrations in accounting and finance from Merrimack College. Originally from the north shore and a longtime resident of the Merrimack Valley, she credits both communities—and credit union leaders across the country—with shaping her values-driven approach to leadership.

Outside of her professional work, LaChapelle volunteers with nonprofit organizations in the Merrimack Valley and enjoys spending time with family and friends and traveling.
